- To understand metaverse token, let me explain what is metaverse first. So, metaverse is a virtual world design to mirror the real world itself. It doesn’t specificly designed based on everything that exist in our world. Usually your can access metaverse via a certain software or app that can connect on VR headset.
- You can interact with real life people via the metaverse platform, Huh…Folks, just hear me out first. Just go outside if you really want to talk to people, it’s a way better experience and go touch some grass if you’re frequent metaverse user. No hate though😂.
- So based on this, metaverse token is basically a type of cryptocurrency that act as a money or asset in the metaverse world.
- Most or all metaverse token is also categorise as a gaming token. So let’s just say metaverse token is a branch of a gaming token. (Maybe)
- Some examples of metaverse token is Decentraland (MANA) and Sandbox (SAND).
Usage
- In metaverse virtual world, metaverse token act as an proof or representation ownership of digital asset in the newsletter. No, I mean metaverse not newsletter…This damn auto correct.
- Basically, it act as proof of ownership for virtual real estate, good and services in the metaverse. Other than that, it also act as an in-game payment to access any exclusive event in the metaverse.
Pros and Cons
- I simply cannot find any pros or even cons for metaverse token. The only things that I can find is volatility issues, regulations, use case, utility and any basic pros and cons for all cryptocurrency. So instead of that, let’s check some of the pros and cons for metaverse itself.
Pros:-
- Metaverse pretty much make another business opportunity to be available for the public. A virtual reality specialist company will have another things that they can try out in creating their company products. This also help grow a partnership between one company with other company.
- Metaverse also create more variety of digital communication. Now people can speak digital face to digital face (No pun intended) with other people from around the world that also use a metaverse platforms.
Cons:-
- The most basic requirements is a VR headset and a mobile device or only the mobile device. The main problems is the price to access most of the feature in that metaverse itself. There are some metaverse platforms that offer free access but for only limited things. If you want full access you need to pay for monthly subscription. So what’s the point.
- You also need a faster and dependable internet connection to access metaverse. Grafic and user experience is a massive thing for metaverse, so in addition for that you need to have a good internet connection to fully experience it. Imagine exploring the metaverse using crappy connection, that will be a bad experience.
Other/Conclusion
- So I can’t say anything about metaverse token but I have something to say about metaverse virtual world and the system itself.
- Looks like real world is not even enough for us anymore. The proof is the existence of metaverse itself. Come one we already have the real world, why create another similar world digitally. It simply doesn’t make sense.
- This world is vast enough for us to explore, so finish exploring it first before moving on towards the digital version of the Earth. I’m sorry that I need to say this but the concept of metaverse is not working for us.
(When I read back the content for this article, I realized that this is by far one of my laziest article ever and I doubt that people will read this. To anybody that read this, I’m sorry for wasting your time 😂)
